My Origin Story
Hi, Iโm Naina Naveen, born in Thrissur โ the land of festivals, rhythm, and people who somehow make chaos look graceful.
I grew up under Muscatโs golden skies โ desert sun, sea breeze, and the sound of Malayalam mingling with a dozen accents.
My first steps into learning (and mischief) happened at playschool in Muscat, followed by Indian School Darsait (ISD), where I spent Classes KG1 to 7.
ISD โ that melting pot of every possible personality โ is where I learned that โstudyingโ can also mean doodling on the last page of your notebook, and that learning isnโt always about marks; sometimes itโs about the art you draw in the margins.
Oman itself was a gentle chaos โ safe, sunny, and endlessly kind, filled with warm people. A place that quietly taught me that home can exist in more than one country.
School Shifts & Study Battles
Then came Classes 8 to 10 at MAGEET, Valapad, where I discovered my greatest academic skill: procrastination.
For most of Class 10, I majored in distractions โ until two months before boards, when my mom and I had a dramatic โenough is enoughโ moment straight out of a war movie.
What followed was a precision-strike operation โ late nights, zero chill, full attack mode โ and somehow I walked out of that battle with a distinction and a story that still makes us laugh (plus mild trauma from sample papers).
Now Iโm doing my 11th and 12th at Paramekkavu Vidya Mandir, waiting for my 2026 board results, and still trying to decode what I actually want to be when I grow up (if that ever happens).
Hobbies, Chaos & Side Quests
Along the way, Iโve collected more hobbies than trophies :
Contemporary dance between Classes 3โ5 โ and never really stopped.
I still love to dance and have done my share of stage performances.
My latest โ a duo dance about the vices in a teenagerโs life โ got one of the loudest applauses Iโve ever heard.
It was raw, real, and mine.Karate till Blue 2 belt โ my fights didnโt stop there, and the black belt dream still pops up like an unskippable ad.
Picked up the guitar โ and my brother heroically broke it. A true family duet.
Planning to buy a new one after my boards (and guard it like my emotional support instrument).Got a 75% scholarship at Manappuram Civil Services Academy โ thought Iโd join the civil services or maybe defence, until I wasnโt sure anymore.
Still mildly obsessed with the idea, though.Tried my hand at MCing โ school events, Lions Club, even a bodybuilding competition (yes, really).
I love being on stage, pretending Iโve got it all together while actually improvising 90% of the time.Dabbled in pilot aptitude training.
Flying was cool; waking up at 6 a.m. wasnโt. Still, itโs on the list.
Letโs just say my career goals are still bufferingโฆ
The People Behind My Chaos
My mom is the emotional engine of our home โ evolving, ever-nagging, short on patience but overflowing with love . She brings out both the best and worst in me, sometimes in the same sentence
. Her hugs fix everything โ except my sleep schedule (she has a habit of hugging me in my sleep
). She handles chaos like a superhero, tames my wildest tantrums, and somehow makes life feel full of laughter, love, and a little bit of magic
. Her energy is contagious โ being around her feels safe, inspiring, happy, and endlessly fun all at once
.
She has this magical ability to make the best food in the whole world , listens with genuine interest when people talk to her
, and gives advice that actually sticks
โeven if it comes with a mini lecture or a playful nag
. Sheโs my guide when Iโm lost
, my cheerleader when I doubt myself
. Life with her is a mix of lessons, laughter, love, and unforgettable moments, and her presence turns ordinary days into something extraordinary
.
My dad is brave , a hero
, a friend
, and a teacher
all rolled into one. He is endlessly fun
, and somehow a kid trapped in an old man’s body
, which truly makes our 28-year age gap feel like nothing. Being around him is a mix of feelings โ safe
, laughing until it hurts
, and occasional โmini to long lecturesโ
that somehow stick. Growing up with him is a constant reminder that being yourself is the best way to live
, and that courage and joy can coexist in every moment
. His energy
, his humor
, and his heart
make every moment memorable, and just being near him makes life feel fuller, brighter
, and a little more magical
(and also the fact that I know how to wrap him around my fingers
). Heโs my anchor
, my cheerleader
, and my favorite partner-in-crime
(donโt tell my mom
).
My brother is six years younger than me and is made of pure chaos, contrast, and nonstop energy . One moment heโs timid
, the next heโs exploding with mischief
. One moment I wanna kill him
, next heโs the adorable lil baby
. Not even a day goes by without us fighting
, and somehow he always finds a way to be dumb
, yet I canโt imagine life without him my little baby forever and ever
.When thereโs no phone or TV, he becomes my personal entertainer
โ pulling faces, making up games, and turning the simplest moments into hilarious adventures
. He doesnโt sit in one chair
, is endlessly restless, and never forgets to annoy me
, keeping every day unpredictable and wild. Growing up with him has been a nonstop rollercoaster
โ full of fights, laughter, chaos, and tiny victories. Heโs my rival in every game
, my sidekick in every prank
, and my Rival-in-crime for life
. Life with him is chaotic, silly, competitive, loving, and unforgettable all at once โ and I wouldnโt trade a single second of it.
My maternal grandparents are the definition of soft love โ the kind that comes wrapped in food, gifts, and endless โDo you want anything else?โ
They spoil me more than I deserve and never let me forget Iโm their favorite (pretty sure thatโs true).
My paternal grandparents are the wise, pragmatic type โ always reminding me whatโs good, whatโs not, and how to stay balanced.
Theyโre my reality check when life starts feeling like a K-drama episode.
Still Becoming
Somewhere between all this, I realized Iโm not chasing perfection โ just trying to experience as much life as possible before deciding which version of me I want to become.
Every win, every fail, every cringe phase adds a line to my story.
So here I am โ
Born in Thrissur, raised in Muscat, built on contradictions.
A when-I-feel-like-it learner, a K-drama-coded dreamer, and a Jack of a lot of trades (not all), queen of absolutely none โ still figuring it out, still vibing through the circus that is me.
Wanna See the Chaos Up Close?
Stick around.
Thereโs more โ stories, doodles, rants, and late-night ideas that may or may not make sense.
Because this isnโt a polished bio โ
itโs a work in progress, just like me.
